Engineeringspot startet

Ladies & Gentlemen,

we proudly present:

Ladies & Gentlemen,

we proudly present:

The EngineeringSpot blog.

Blogs that thematize software and tools for developers and designers are still very rare in the German-speaking countries. With EngineeringSpot we want to fill this gap. We, that is me and my esteemed colleague Holm Landrock as co-author.

As  freelance technical journalists in the areas of CAD/CAM, engineering, and IT, we monitor the industry for many years and watch the upheavals the Internet brought to our profession and the trade press closely. A few years ago, the journalist has been  a kind of „knowledge authority“, whereas nowadays anyone can now pick up the latest information directly from companies.

Despite – or perhaps because of – this development, our work has not diminished. On the contrary: without a „mediator“ who filters the available information, classifies, evaluates and sets it in relation to other information, this information overload could not be overcome. That is what we want to achieve with EngineeringSpot. News and information from the industry, well-written and strong opinions – that’s our goal.

The blog is mostly bilingual German and English, the language can be changed in the upper left sidebar. Being German, the emphasis is on our mother language, but we try to provide as many as possible articles in English, at least in a short summary.  The English version is directly accessible by our .com address. We also offeran associated Twitter feed EngineeringSpot, where we deliver he very latest news and information about new articles in the blog. Tweets are also mirrored here in the category „Social Media“.

We hope that our readers have as much pleasure in reading the article as we had in writing,

Ralf Steck

* However, if your browser is set to „German“ as the default language, you can see the English version only after manual switching it in the sidebar.
